So I tried Aldi Potato Gratin. I wouldn't say it blew my mind.

its fairly simple to make a better one. it's not so simple to make a better one that is cheaper, faster and requires less cleaning up.
That is true. When I make it it's a meal in itself. When I cook Aldi ones it's really just a plate filler.
