Uranium Glass

Interesting lamp
Found this lamp at a family friends house. It has speckles of custard glass and a painted on sticks and berries pattern.

Found a big chunk of a dish set
We went to one of those antique malls where a bunch of people set up booths and started blacklighting things. Most of what we found was way over priced but these dishes, tucked away on a bottom shelf in the back corner of a booth jumped out in the black light.
Turns out it is an almost complete set of Macbeth Evand CHINEX princess dinnerware. Its missing the bowls, salad/berry bowl, and several tea cups. The whole stack was $40. The pttern on some of the smaller plates is pretty worn but we still consider this one of our best finds.

A slightly more unusual piece that I found
I don't know much about it, it's the only piece I've got that is made from two distinct layers of glass.

My very small uranium glass collection :-)
If I position my Geiger counter in the perfect position, I can get a reading in the range of 1.5 - 2.2 μSv/h
If I move the Geiger counter even a few centimeters away, or even position it at a less-optimal position, the reading returns to background levels.
For reference, the average value of exposure while flying inside of an airplane is 3 μSv/h. So even if you place one of my cups right next to your head you are likely being exposed less than while flying in an airplane. Not that I recommend doing this!
