Sorry for the editorialised title, but I figured people would appreciate it more than the uninformative clickbait title on the original video "Have Uncovered an Olympics Mystery..."
Would love suggestions for a better title of the Lemmy post.

Where would you want future Olympic Games to be held ?
This is a map of how many times the Olympics games have been, or will be held in each country of the world.
Personally I would like to see Iceland tackle the challenge of infrastructure, I'm sure they would find elegant and minimalist solutions for each sport, without compromising their beautiful nature. It would be interesting to see athletes adapt to permanent daylight in summer. And cynically, it would expose the atrocious state of their housing market, and maybe prompt some change ?

Afghan athlete's DQ shows IOC's support of women is not unconditional
The Paris 2024 team is made up of 37 talented athletes – 13 of them are women – competing in 12 different sports. They're a team born from circumstance and opportunity. Their existence signifies hope, belonging and inclusion.
Despite the attempts of the IOC to claim that they do not want to be political, the reality is that sport is and will always be political. The existence of the EOR points to global unrest and politics as one of the complex layers why the team exists.

Sweden takes gold in Beach Volleyball with its innovative jump-set style
www.nbcolympics.com Sweden defeats Germany for first-ever beach volleyball gold medalWorld No. 1 team David Ahman and Jonatan Hellvig made quick work of Germany’s Nils Ehlers and Clemens Wickler to win Sweden’s first-ever Olympic beach volleyball gold medal.
It's a crazy story of the coaches Rasmus Jonsson and Anders Kristiansson - from Sweden of all places - theorising about ways to innovate the sport, and then scouting young talents to coach this method into from an early age. And years later, their pupils claim the Olympic gold. What a story.
If you want to read more about the new style here is an article about it.
