-
[email protected] for news about tools and applications relying on the lemmy API
I realize I never posted about it here. This is a comm where people making software that integrates with the lemmy API can post about them. This is meant to be about more than just LemmyUIs, so it's a place to inform people about their lemmy bots, browser plugins etc.
-
A multilingual community about the Black Sea
Just check out [email protected]. Hosted on a Bulgarian instance, most content in English, open to all languages in the region.
-
[email protected] , for funny content, politics are forbidden

I made sh.itjust.works/c/ama, a place for anyone and everyone to host an AMA
AMA is a community that I made because I made an AMA post on the lemmyshitpost community and had a great time answering people's questions. I thought it would be fun to have a community dedicated to doing just that, for anyone and everyone to do an AMA and the community to learn a bit about them if they'd like.
P.S: I need moderators and more people that know more about Lemmy moderation than I do, so send me a message on here or on Matrix if that's you @bpt11:matrix.org I'm brand new to this and don't really know what I'm doing tbh, but I wanted to see this community happen :)

Signal Groups - A new community to collect and share Signal Groups
moist.catsweat.com Signal Groups - Moist: A Nonsense AggregatorA place to post links to public groups on signal as there is no other way to discover them at the moment.
Signal is a secure messenger that supports public groups. Unfortunately, it doesn't have a directory, so this community creates one.

Window Managers - A place to share, discuss & comment the window manager experience.
---
This is an attempt to revive the idea of [email protected] but to include all kinds of window managers.
The community’s purpose is to band together users, new users and soon to be users of different window managers with the purpose to help each other out on Lemmy.
As of now I have been subscribing to respective release feeds and the likes to receive fresh updates and post them here, and also some beginner guides I have been brewing for some time now.
Feel free to post anything related and even barely related.
Not expecting this community to grow large as window managers are a comparatively a niche topic, but at least to keep it real and organic.
For any questions or ideas you can send me direct message.

Song I Love And Want To Share - a place to share love for your favorite songs and discover new music.
As a big music lover I always enjoy an opportunity to share music I love and discover something new to listen.
Song I Love (other link [email protected]) has a set of simple rules of how to create new posts to avoid deviation from the general idea:
- Title must be Artist - Title (year)
- Post must contain link to some legal source, which should be easily accessible like Youtube or Soundcloud. Original sources and clips are better.
- Post must contain explanation why you love it. Additional information about artist or song history is always appreciated and a plus.
--- Join! Discover new music! Share your love!

[email protected] Because Americans will use anything but metric
Around the fediverse, any time a bizarre unit of measurement is used, the inevitable comment is something along the lines of "Americans will use anything but metric."
Well, we gotta compile these bizarre units, so that Americans can make an informed decision on what measurement system (other than metric) to use!
Posts from anywhere are fine; crossposts, links to comments, articles, screenshots from outside apps, anything!
If you're interested, use one of the links below to check it out! (These all link to the same place, just different formats because Lemmy gets weird sometimes.)

Got the pokemon bug? What about Bug type pokemon? Both are perfect for [email protected]
I've been enjoying playing the new mobile pokemon game enough that I decided to spin up a community on WG for it.
[email protected] is a new space to share what's happening on your adventure to collect them all! So far I've been sharing some of the pulls I've been getting and a couple of us have been chatting about the game.
More people are always welcome to join in the conversation with their own pulls, questions, comments, etc. See you around!
Preemptively going to add that I already know other pokemon communities exist on the fediverse that can and probably do cover this game. I have no interest in merging with them or anything like that. I'm ok with this community never being popular as a trade off for me to post things that might be too spammy for other communities.

beermoneyUK-What is this community about? And 🎄Christmas giveaway🎁✨
cross-posted from: https://lemmy.world/post/23207673
> If you haven’t heard about it, beermoney communities are popular worldwide across various social media platforms. > > As Fediversers, most of us may hate the word 'money' being much in the equation of our everyday life. > > This community ([email protected]) brings the beermoney initiative to the Fediverse, specifically dedicated to the UK. It’s designed for people to discuss and explore online money-making and money-saving opportunities as side hustles. > > What kind of opportunities? There are different kinds. An example is sign up offer. Businesses want users. So they are willing to pay/offer incentives to get users. People in beermoney communities make use of those offers and get the incentive. If the service the business is offering is really useful (which can be at times), we stick with them. If not we get the incentive and leave. > > While you shouldn’t expect to make a full-time living, it’s a great way to earn extra cash to support your habits or needs. Members share knowledge, tips, and personal experiences to help make extra and stretch our money further. Most activities here require just 10 to 15 minutes a day, with the potential to earn a few extra 10s of quid. Will help students as well. Occasionally, bigger opportunities arise, like bank-switching offers, where you can earn around £100 or more. > > Join the community to discover simple and effective ways to make or save some extra pocketmoney! Also checkout this Christmas Giveaway. > Please READ THE RULES!

Welcome to Rhyme Me!
How it works:
You post a word and people comment another word that rhymes with it. Commenter's can also comment on others comments to keep the rhyme going

[email protected]: A community to discuss video game modding in all forms
Modding is something I'm quite passionate about so I decided to create a Lemmy community for it. It's not something exclusive to PC gaming so discussion about things like open source engine recreations/source ports, modding emulated games, ROM hacks, and modding games on console is all fine.
I've already made three posts to get the ball rolling so feel free to swing by and talk about your favorite projects.

A community for discussing all things Dropout!
Dropout is a subscription service born from the ashes of College Humor. It features live-play TTRPG series, improv comedy, panel shows and more. There's a lot of their content on YouTube for free, the subscription service costs $60 a year and they encourage password sharing.
[!Netflix's new password-sharing rule: Every 31 days your device must log in on your home network — or it will be blocked. QT from @dropout: Dropout's new password-sharing rule: you should share your password with a friend who can't afford Dropout, because it would be nice of you 🤗](https://twitter.com/dropout/status/1620945560877563905)
I made [email protected] and a cobbled-together open source bot so that there would always be a place on lemmy/the fediverse to discuss the twists and turns of the current Dimension 20 campaign or share laughter from the latest crazed invention of the Game Changer writers.

[email protected]
a place for general comedic nonsense. [almost] anything goes as long as its even tangentially funny. you may see reposts. you may see old, archaic internet shit. you may see your mom
it would behoove us all to distribute content across the 'verse
i think dr evil said it best:
>The details of my life are quite inconsequential... very well, where do I begin? My father was a relentlessly self-improving boulangerie owner from Belgium with low-grade narcolepsy and a penchant for buggery. My mother was a fifteen-year-old French prostitute named Chloe with webbed feet. My father would womanize, he would drink. He would make outrageous claims like he invented the question mark. Sometimes he would accuse chestnuts of being lazy. The sort of general malaise that only the genius possess and the insane lament. My childhood was typical. Summers in Rangoon, luge lessons. In the spring we'd make meat helmets. When I was insolent, I was placed in a burlap bag and beaten with reeds- pretty standard, really. At the age of twelve, I received my first scribe. At the age of fourteen, a Zoroastrian named Vilma ritualistically shaved my testicles. There really is nothing like a shorn scrotum... it's breathtaking- I suggest you try it.

Unfortunately I couldn't salvage the memes from the old place as their image storage is gonezo, so please do repost them.
