Haiku

Goldfish float in air / Gather around the girl's wound / Drink her blood and leave

Forces beyond all / Squeeze until shining chaos / Fade to darkest black

More heartbeats than thoughts / Calm on the outside only / Comfort zone's calling

Words never woven / Captivating all the same / Never had, but still lost

Blinding white pages / Curses and criticisms / How do I do this

Each blink is effort / No questions to me, I hope / Please give me water

corner working mom / crying on your cereal / tears instead of milk

i tried to write a / good haiku but it was one / syllable short

A hungry feeling / lets grab a quick bite to eat / make it much faster

Broader horizons / A sense of community / The future is bright

Heavy heavy eyes / What was I thinking about / yawn I'm yawn fine yawn

Always feeling tired / Autumn is fast approaching / The years lead us here

I'd like to do it / Wish I'd done it already / Still haven't started

Screens everywhere / clickety-clack on keyboards / coffee smell pervades

I'll try to attach / a message to this arrow... / Poem for you, sir

A garden of green / Thumbs oh how I love being / A serial killer

Tick tick tick tick tick / Each second, minute, hour / Flows through its taut hands

Not green but not blue / Not too dark and not too rich / But just the right hue

Worlds and worlds and worlds / Each alive and not so well / The heavens beckon

Up and down and up / Nothing is solved for that long / More and less than thought

Too long, didn't read / Use seventeen syllables / Show me what you got

The neverending / Story, yours or mine, who knows / Just might be ours

A shiny layer / On decaying foundations / Have we ever grown?

Sunlight on my pancakes / Light hearts and smiling faces / A meal out of time

Upon metal banks / Crash the saturated waves / Rushing the white sea
