>The property manager, Carlos De Oliveira, is now also charged in the case. He told a Mar-a-Lago information technology expert that “‘the boss’ wanted the server deleted,” according to the revised indictment. After the employee said he did not know how to delete the footage, or whether he had the right to do so, De Oliveira restated the request from “the boss” and asked, “What are we going to do?”

Interesting, puts McCarthy in a really tough spot though.

Cross-posting from news. Weird to see this kind of endorsement.
I personally consider Biden a fiscal-moderate even if his social agenda is further (but not outrageously) left. Still an odd source of support.
- www.nbcnews.com Travis King: Details emerge on U.S. soldier who crossed into North Korea
The nuclear-armed state launched two short-range ballistic missiles Wednesday, but remained silent on the status of Pvt. 2nd Class Travis King.
Posting because he was a 23-year-old pv2, thats... sad. Maybe don't let people out of prison to go home to face a disciplinary hearing without an escort?
As a note: the pfc promotion is generally automatic after 1 year and often out of basic if you can follow simple directions.
BTW I'm assuming he wasn't a spc or cpl or something and busted down, but we should also try to keep out worse performing soldiers away from the crazy nuclear state, because if he'd managed to have a weapon somehow this conversation would be less odd.

France is roiled by protests after police killed a teenager.
Seems surprisingly similar to the Floyd protests of 2020, in this case the officer has already been arrested and is expected to be charged.
France isn't a place one thinks of when it comes to police shootings, but after the suicide bombings in 2015 I visited for work and was surprised to see heavily armed French police on patrol, and by heavily armed, the looked like soldiers with MP5s and/or assault rifles in full body armor.

This is somewhat surprising given the SCOTUS ruling last week. Suspect they would lose if it came back to SCOTUS on some form of 'traditionalist' grounds, but for public and state schools it could definitely mark a sea change.
